I’ve just returned from St. Lucia and Antigua. The trip was so fantastic that I couldn’t wait to tell you all about it! Also, I wanted to give you a face to match up with my name, so I’ve attached a picture of myself; next to my New Sandals Car.
While I was in the beautiful island of St. Lucia, I saw all three Sandals Luxury Included Resorts. WOW! Where should I begin … It all started at the very glamorous Sandals St. Lucia Regency Golf Resort & Spa in the truly exotic island of St. Lucia. This resort is a gorgeous property that is spread out over 200 lush and tropical acres. The awesome panoramic views from the bluff suites are only to be described as breathtaking!
I took a tour of this property and saw the newly renovated rooms, which are lovely. The soft colors of the décor give the rooms a very upscale and very romantic ambience.
I had the opportunity to swim in the large fantasy pool with the swim-up pool bar where a tropical beverage is always waiting and I was able to enjoy a dip every day in my very own private plunge pool. Yes, I was lucky enough to get a suite on the bluffs, which included very pampering Butler service and 24 hour room service! With the fantastic food in each of the 7 gourmet restaurants on this property, the choices were endless!
Selecting where I was going to eat was definitely a challenge!
For those of you who golf, or know someone that does, the 9 hole golf course that is on the property is just waiting to be played.
Not a golfer? Well how about a spa service at our Red Lane Spa?
The next stop was a short 20 minute drive on the complimentary shuttle to the intimate Sandals Halcyon Resort. All of the 169 rooms at this resort are in close proximity to the beach and it’s turquoise blue water. With two pools and two swim up pool bars, there is always a lot of elbow room. Guests can feel as if they are in a remote paradise away from all others. The newly renovated rooms, with soft pallet, set the scene for true tranquility. With 4 restaurants on this property and complimentary shuttle bus to the other two Sandals resorts, the dining options are endless!
The last stop on my tour in St. Lucia was the Sandals Grand St. Lucian Resort & Spa. This beach paradise, which is surrounded by crystal clear blue water on three sides, has spectacular views of the mountains and the harbor in the distance. From the seaside Rondovals, (yes they are round rooms that are just steps from the sand), to the variety of other room categories, there is a room category that will appeal to everyone. In addition to the 6 restaurants on this resort, I do have to point out my that I had to make a conscious effort to stay away from my weakness Josephine’s, a creperie that is filled with a variety of freshly baked pastries and sweet crepes made to order.
On day three I was off on a short inter-island flight to the island of Antigua, where Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa welcomed me with warm island hospitality. Almost like two resorts in one, the Caribbean Grove, with tropical island style rooms and the new Mediterranean Village with all of its grandeur. The sharp contrast of styles makes this resort very exciting!
Antigua’s 365 beaches, one for every day of the year, are among the most amazing beaches that I have ever seen! A true exotic! Now remember, this was a working trip for me, so with much hesitation, I stayed away from the two casinos on this island. Did you know that one of the Casino’s is right next door?
The last stop in Antigua was to the Grand Pineapple Antigua. If you are not familiar with Grand Pineapple brand, they are our newest chain of resorts for everyone! These resorts welcome couples, singles and families with children. We have two resorts, one in Negril, Jamaica and one in Antigua. Grand Pineapple Resorts are all-inclusive and are moderately priced for value minded clients.
Grand Pineapple Antigua sits on one of the most pristine beaches on the island. When they say… location, location, location, this resort was definitely in mind. Many of the guest rooms on this resort have been renovated and the new soft colors mimic the color of the ocean. The quaint ambience and Caribbean hospitality that this property offers to its guests is enjoyed by all!
With exceptional quality, excellent service and proven reliability, I hope that you will not hesitate to visit any of these resorts.
